Flat Print Bed
Since the bots share the Z drive auto bed leveling is not possible: a flat bed is a must.
Luckily it is possible: here I have four flat oven glass plates each 30x30 cm. Flat also is the frame I made for them.
Next should come the heating solution and the vertical drive.

Travel Range Test
Using two RAMPS one for the gantry and second for the hot end slider launched two separate processes streaming command to two USB/Serial ports on the netbook.

Streaming GCode to Serial with Python
When doing real printing comment the print statements where the two arrows point at - this reduces CPU load for the benefit of faster communication.

I shall update this list gradually. All links are given as reference and you may find cheaper sources.
For the main rails choose the length you wish (I have ordered 1500mm)
For the X carriage:
- 625-POM-Plastic-bearings-625-PA-Glass-Balls-size-5x16x5mm
- OpenbuildV-slot-Plastic-Wheel please order the wheel without the steel bearings.
Also do not forget to install a washer between the two bearings of each wheel to prevent locking the bearings when you tighten the bolts. - 30 mm long aluminum bolts
- 36-teeth-Bore-5mm-GT2-Timing-Pulley-fit-width-6mm-of-2GT
